"What is a yoni?" I hear some of you ask, let's not beat around the bush (pardon the pun), a yoni is a vagina and if you're reading this it is a great idea to steam said genitalia.
Yoni steaming is an ancient tradition, rooted in African culture. This beautiful practice has been making its way to the west seeking women who look to holistic healing to support their wellbeing.
In a culture that 'thrives' (we really don't) off of fast paced living, yoni steaming invites us to take a moment to pause and connect.
“Yoni” is a Sanskrit word that means "womb" or "source of life," reflecting the sacredness and power of the female body.
There are numerous benefits to yoni steaming that include:
Easing menstrual cramps and bloating
Increasing fertility
Reducing heavy bleeding and regulating cycles
Supporting postpartum recovery
Easing symptoms of menopause (dryness, discomfort)
Reconnecting with your body and womb space
Releasing trauma and stored emotions
My Mind & Soul offer different blends of herbs for different healing practices:
How do I steam my Yoni?
Yoni steaming is an easy practice to carry out and only takes 30 minutes of your time.
You will need:
A glass bowl
Hot water
A towel or robe
Some self love
Steaming seat (optional)
Yoni steaming is more than a physical cleanse - it's a spiritual practice.
Directions:
Create a quiet, private space
Set an intention
Use herbs that resonate with your needs
Fill a glass bowl with boiling water (please be careful!)
Add a handful of chosen herbal blend.
Either using a specially designed steaming seat or by laying/sitting in "child's pose" hover over the bowl.
Place a towel or robe over your body to encase the steam.
Steam for 20-30 minutes.
It’s a beautiful way to slow down, listen to your body, and offer yourself the love and care you deserve.
Love, light and honesty, always,
Kirsty 🕊🤍
